Aljaser products in Crafts Festival

Aljaser Factory Company participated in the Folklore Festival, which was held in Bab Al Bahrain Complex under the slogan “Our folk heritage and our health starts from Aljaser.” The festival witnessed a huge turnout from the public to learn about the prestigious Bahraini folk heritage, where all the company products of various sizes and types were reviewed. The audience were made aware of the newest products, their most important benefits and the nutrients they contain.

Health Day at Aljaser Factory Company

As a matter of awareness and guidance, the Health Day was a wonderful experience for the employees of Aljaser Factory Company. The health of our team is from the health of our products, and the health of our products is from the health of our customers.

 

Aljaser Factory Company concluded the Health Day event with a set of general tips and instructions, especially in the summer and hot stressful weather.

 

It was a really a healthy day, especially since Aljaser took it upon itself to provide healthy products without chemicals for the sake of everyone’s health.

 

The management confirmed that the factory’s website provides an online service for knowing the usage and benefits of the products. This service is available in both Arabic and English.

Outstanding Food Product Award

The Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry announced the winner of the 2019 Distinguished Food Product Award, where the Kazerooni Company won the first-place prize of $10,000 and Aljaser Factory Company won the second-place prize of $5,000.

 

The winners were announced at the ceremony held yesterday in the Chamber’s Majlis Hall in the presence of the Minister of Industry, Commerce and Tourism, Zayed Al-Zayani; Chairman of Chamber’s Board of Directors, Samir Nass; Chairman of Chamber’s Food Wealth Committee, Khaled Al-Amin in addition to a group of members of the Chamber’s Board of Directors and a number of invitees.

 

This competition was organized by the Chamber’s Food Wealth Committee for the second year in a row. Aljaser Factory Company won first place in the last edition.

 

In addition to the two cash prizes, the winners of the competition will receive the Chamber’s Quality Seal on all products of the winning manufacturers for a period of two years. It will also coordinate with the Export Development Center to export their products and promoting them in Forbes International magazine, in its Arabic and English versions.

 

Chamber President, Samir Nass, stressed the importance of this award to stimulate the food sector and attract local and foreign investments to this sector. He stressed, at the same time, that the food industry is one of the most important and prominent industries that the Kingdom seeks to develop and increase investment in order to reach self-sufficiency in the field of food.

 

Nass added, “The Chamber hopes that this award will be a means to reach the goals set for the development of the food sector, pointing to the Chamber’s endeavor to develop the award in the future.” The Chairman of the Food Wealth Committee at the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Khaled Amin, said a total of 36 contestants applied to register for the second edition of the Bahrain Award for Excellence in Food Products, compared to 16 contestants in the first edition.

He added, “the contestants and producing companies excelled in improving the appearance of the local product and they have a passion for exporting outside Bahrain, which is required in order for Bahraini goods to be present in all countries of the world.”

 

About the new vision for the third edition, he stressed that the committee is considering adding new categories such as more food exporters, creativity, and open a category for large companies as well. He pointed to the focus on developing the food industry, whether at the local or global level.

 

He referred to the committee’s ambition to obtain support from other parties to increase the value of the award, however, he reiterated that the award aims in the first place to encourage the local product and motivate Bahraini food companies to develop their performance and competitiveness and push for local investment while working to enhance the quality of the local product and increase consumer confidence in it.

The winner of the second edition of the competition, Bashar Kazerooni, said he participated in the first edition and was not lucky; however, he returned to participate again and won the second edition award for Bharat (Alameer), pointing out that the award’s logo will enhance the position of the Bahraini product in the Kingdom and the Gulf region.

 

On the other hand, the competition was supervised by a group of specialists in the food industry sector, including Afnan Al Zayani, Hala Obaid, Dr. Aisha Bahloul, Kazem Asad, Nader Qanati, in addition to Nares Qambar.

The judge, Dr. Aisha Bahloul, said the committee found it very difficult to choose the winning products due to the high quality of the participating products. She pointed out that the committee was looking at 4 main things for each product, namely quality, the percentage of Bahrainization in the product and distribution, in addition to innovation.

 

World Heritage Revival Program

During the event of the Ministry of Culture and Antiquities under the title “Revival of World Heritage,” a group of UNESCO tourists visited Aljaser Factory in order to learn about the method of producing herbal water and the benefits involved.

The visitors were explained and were clear about how water is produced and also visited the production lines of various products. They also learned about the value and benefits of these authentic folk products, which are a symbol of the authenticity of Dilmun Bahrain.

The visitors concluded their visit with the team of Aljaser Factory Company after they enjoyed the experience of healthy water products.

Al Noor Association for Social Welfare Visit

Aljaser Factory Company received a delegation from Al Noor Association for Social Welfare in July 2018, at the company’s headquarters in order to get acquainted with the products. Al Noor Association for Social Welfare participated in the Al laser Factory team in the process of classifying the products and their types and getting to know the benefits of each of them, and the program ended with distributing gifts to the participants.

The Family Summer Camp

Aljaser Factory Company welcomed, a delegation from the family summer camp, in the month of July 2018, at the company headquarters, in order to get acquainted with the distinctive products derived from the Bahrain nature.

 

The number of participants ranged between 10 to 15 people. The summer camp team participated in the process of classifying and identifying the products. As a kind gesture, gifts were distributed to all the participants.

Visit of a delegation from The Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities

 

The Al laser Factory Company received a delegation from the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities, on Saturday, February 2018, at the company’s headquarters, to learn about the company’s distinctive products derived from the Bahraini nature.

The number of participants ranged from 25 to 30 people, and gifts in kind were distributed to the participants. The delegation of the authority expressed their thanks and gratitude for the cooperation and welcome from the company.

Janadriyah Festival

The National Festival for Heritage and Culture at Janadriyah is a heritage and cultural festival that has been held in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia since 1405 AH / 1985, and attracts many visitors inside and outside the Kingdom.

 

One of the priorities of the heritage side of the festival is to highlight the various aspects of folklore, represented in handicrafts and traditional crafts, with the aim of linking them to the reality of our contemporary present and preserving them as one of the main objectives of the festival, and highlighting them for what they represent of ancient human creativity and heritage for the people of the country over generations.

 

Aljaser Factory had an active participation, focusing on traditional folk products.

 

Abdullah bin Yousef Fakhro Social Center visited Aljaser Factory

The Abdullah bin Youssef Fakhro Social Center of the Department of Social Development Centers, in cooperation with the Abdullah bin Youssef Fakhro Club for Parents’ Care, organized a visit to the Aljaser Factory, Where the visitors were briefed on the production and packaging stages of the different products produced by the factory, It also reviewed the historical stage since the beginning of its establishment about thirty years ago until today. And the future plans that the factory management wants to make to enhance its presence as a distinct Bahraini industrial product.
In this regard, the visitors praised the great and distinguished efforts of the people of Bahrain and their great role in preserving Bahrain’s heritage in the production of herbal waters that are used as treatments and flavorings that the people of Bahrain are accustomed to and developed to match the tastes of consumers, whether in Bahrain or in the rest of the Arab Gulf countries.

It is worth mentioning that the Department of Social Centers seeks to support Bahraini factories by organizing field visits in order to contribute to economic development and support Bahraini products.
